This is a really cool beginner set. It seems to have everything that you would need along with adjustable voltage up to 12v. I don’t know how well it would do on real skin since I’m just learning but if you have an interesting in learning to tattoo and want to get familiar with the general mechanics, it seems to work well.

This is both surprising, and also impressive since it's so inexpensive... yet a true bargain.I have never seen ANY tattoo beginner kit that had as much gear packed into it. This is truly amazing, since it comes in a really nice hard case, and it's stuffed full of gear.The pen is not the shape I prefer, but I can see why someone just getting into tattooing would appreciate it. It's got everything, I mean everything you need to get going, practicing, and learning the craft. This pen shocked me, as I didn't expect too much. It's designed within the kit to run off of AC power, and everything you need to do that is included (foot switch, cables, AC power supply unit). However, being lazy I decided to run it off my own battery pack (has a wide range), and used the handy RCA jack on the top of the pen.The pen ran superbly, and was smooth and quiet through it's entire range. I ran it from 3.0v all the way to 12.0v. Perfect. This is not what you expect in a cheap starter kit. You can adjust the stroke length by simply twisting the grip, whilst holding the barrel of the pen.Next there is the power supply, which is nice, though a bit light, and it has a digital LED readout, which is large & bright. Very easy to use, and easy to see while working. The foot switch is all plastic, but well made and should stand up well. The cables are also fine.Also included in this set: Several clear blue pen covers, 4 dental bibs to cover your work station, two boxes (20) of tattoo needle cartridges, two packs of ink caps (2 sizes), a single set of black latex exam gloves, a surgical marker, a prep razor, two sheets of tattoo design transfer paper, two sheets of tattoo stencils, two sheets of tattoo synthetic practice skin, and a brief owner's manual. There are also 10 small bottles of tattoo practice inks.This kit never stops amazing me. The fact that the pen runs this well is a happy surprise, but then they pack this beautiful case with all this gear.An excellent value, and a fine choice for anyone just getting started in tattooing.
I usually go with the wireless pens which this could easily can be with a battery adapter. This power supply does not work very well with limited power. I would say this would be good for beginners to practice on skins. I wouldn’t feel comfortable using this on a person. If you get this I recommend getting a really good wireless battery.
